Someone at the court of Ramses, who in the shadows acts as a spy for the Stygians, learned of what had been agreed between the Pharaoh and the Roman Emperor and informed the Satrapo of Ombos, Hem-netjer Sobek. He alarmed the Undead garrison located in the Alaqi oasis, commanded by the vampire queen Anach-Neferet. In reinforcement, Hem-netjer Sobek sent a contigent of his Sobekyr of the Ombos garrison to Alaqi. The Stygians will not allow the Romans to arrive in Tjeb.

When finally, after many days of grueling march in the desert, towards evening, the Legion arrived in sight of the ruins of Tjeb, by order of the Legato Gallo, the camp was placed near a small oasis. The evening passed quietly. After a frugal meal, the Romans retreated to their tents sheltered by the fortified field.

Towards the end of the night, at the fifth hour, the three Wizards attached to the Legion made the Legate wake up, to inform him that they had perceived the arrival of an enemy army. To the stunned Legato, they reported that the enemies appeared to be Undead and other terrible creatures.

The alarm went off immediately in the camp. Gaio Cornelio Gallo gave orders to his Tribunes and the Legion took sides for the battle to face the enemy army, who had already lined up.

The battle ended with a "VICTORY" of the Undead and Krokodyr Army (Sandro) :

The Imperial Legion suffered 3555 loss points(Sergio);

The Army of Stygian Undead and Krokodyr suffered 2631 loss points(Sandro), with a difference of 924 points in its favor.

Comments.

Starting the battle on the penultimate hour of the night penalized the Legionary Throwing Units, which suffered from the "Bad Light" were less effective in the first two turns. Furthermore, the outcome of the clash was greatly influenced by the fact that the Legion had fewer Giant Creatures in staff than it could have deployed (only one: the Giant Elephant), while the Stygian Army of Darkness had four: the powerful "War Sphinx", a Giant Crocodile, a Half Giant Sobek and a Half Giant Undead. He also deployed three units of Giant Creatures: one of Giant Mummies, one of Knights on Giant Cobra and one of Giant Warriors of Sobek, against a single one deployed by the Romans (Giant Minotaurs).

The terrible Sphinx engaged in combat and then killed the Giant Elephant, thus leaving the Giant Crocodile, deployed on the other side of the army, free to massacre first Giant Minotuars and then Roman Knights. To cope with the dangerous gap left uncovered by the eliminated Giant Elephant, the Cabal of the three Wizards was forced to evoke a supernatural Entity, which manifested itself in the form of a Giant Eagle, which then managed to eliminate the dangerous War Sphinx, but being in turn eliminated and driven back into its astral dimension. It was then recalled again by the Cabal of the three Wizards.

The Entity then returned and was committed to stopping the very powerful Knights on Giant Cobra Unit, which in turn had eliminated the Praetorians on horseback.

The Kabbalah of the three Undead Stygian Magicians also in turn evoked a supernatural Entity, obviously dark, which manifested itself in the form of a Giant Demon and attacked the Vendhyan Elephant and the Forest Elephant Unit behind it, the which had already eliminated the undead's war chariots and were breaking through on the left side of their deployment.

What made the situation more difficult for the Legion was the abandonment of the battlefield by one of the two Cohorts, whose components fled as a reaction to a failed morale test (1 on 1D6), when there were no more Priests who they could have "summoned the Gods" to attempt to rerun the test. They immolated themselves, together with their Clerics, invoking the Gods several times to save the Giant Elephant and then the Knights of the two "Elite" Units (Praetorians and Cataphracts).
