Imperial Clones against Rebels
SCENARIO.
A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away ......................
The Clone Wars is over, but the peace imposed by the Empire to the various galactic systems is not yet fully assured.
The Dark Lord of the Sith, Darth Sidious (former Senator of Naboo Cos Palpatine and former Supreme Chancellor of the Galactic Senate of the Republic), the self-proclaimed Emperor of the Galaxy, has sent his apprentice Darth Vader (the former Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker), to kill the last Jedi Knights who managed to survive the betrayal of the Clones that were under their orders, after the same Darth Sidious had given them the infamous order " 66 ."
Senators Mon Mothma, Logan Deballma, Bail Organa and Garm Bel Iblis have formed a resistance interstellar force called REBEL ALLIANCE, in order to initiate a war of opposition against the Empire, with the intent to remove the Emperor from its position. In this Alliance have joined some of the surviving Jedi Knights. At first, the Rebels are trying to found weapons and combat vehicles, including even spaceships, going into planets that during the Clone Wars had hosted the bases of the Republic or of the Separatists . After the proclamation of the Empire, many of such military bases have been abandoned by the Clones or by the Droids Army that the garrison them. These first actions taken by the Rebels surprised the Emperor, who did not expect that some senators hostile to him in such a short time could be organized and are been able to arm a small but efficient army.
As a result of careful investigation made ??by the Emperor's agents, even with the help of Bounty Hunters mercenaries of criminal organizations as one of the Hutt, one of these bases occupied by the Rebels was found on the planet Devaron. It had been a base of the Republic, already used during the Clone Wars on the planet when there was a battle between the Republican forces and a Droid Army of the Separatists . Then remained abandoned, this base has been occupied by the Rebels to which he joined a Jedi Knight. Against them, the Emperor sent Darth Vader with a regiment of the Clone of the 95 Legion . Their task is to eliminate the Jedi Knight , and with him all the Rebels and occupy the base.
The battle.
We played with armies of 3000 points.
The Rebels are deployed to defend the base they occupied, protected by the shield generator. They have two batteries in heavy turrets, two squadrons of two snow-speeder and three laser cannons. Alongside them there are a Jedi Knight, a Jedi and a Padawan.
The Imperials were forced to carry out a land attack. The Clone Infantry is supported by five AT-ST and an AT-TE.
We played 12 turns.
The battle ended as expected, very movie accurated, with the annihilation of the Rebels and the destruction of the shield generator. The battle, however, could have a different outcome if the Padawan was able to kill Darth Vader. The renegade Jedi had killed before the Jedi Knight and the Jedi even then, but he suffering some wounds. If the last shot of the Padawan, that Darth Vader was not able to avoid, had pierced the armor of the Dark Lord, he probably would have died. Such an event could have been spooked by the whole imperial army, making fleed the Clones. Instead, the Dark Lord's armor absorbed the blow of the laser sword of the Padavan, who took advantage of the moment of astonishment Darth Vader and managed to disengage and get to safety along with the few Rebels who survived the battle.
