Armies:

We played with armies of 4000 points and 1500 points of magic (Ars Arcana) each.

The armies were represented respectively by 138 miniatures of the Amazon Army and 191 miniatures of the Kolchian Army, for a total of 329 miniatures.

Outcome of the clash in terms of points::

The battle ended with a "Victory" of the Amazons:

the Kolchians, Minotaurs and Dark Arcadia Creatures suffered 4211 points of losses(Sandro).

The Amazons, Cimmerians and Centaures suffered 3586 points of losses(Sergio), with a difference of 625 points in their favor !

Note:

The scenario involved the incursion of an army of Amazons, reinforced by Cimmerians and Centaurs, in the Kolchis, with the aim of taking possession of some sacred rams or at least their golden fleeces. These rams are the sons of the winged ram Crisomallo, with the golden mantle, which the god Hermes had given to the wife of Atamanto, king of Boeotia. By the sons of these, Crisomallo was then handed over to Aete, king of Kolchis. Making him mate with goats that descended from Amalthea (the sacred goat that had suckled Zeus, when he was an infant, on the island of Krethas) , received as a gift from Minos, Aete managed to obtain a new breed of sheep with golden mantle. Crisomallo was then offered as a sacrifice to Hermes and his golden fleece was placed in a temple guarded by a hydra. This magical sacred object was then stolen by the Argonauts and taken to Parnassus. The sons and descendants of Crisomallo and Amalthea have inherited from their father the extraordinary characteristic of having the golden fleece. When they are grown up they are sacrificed to the god Hermes, then their fleeces are placed in the sacred temple dedicated to this deity. Such magical items attract the greed of many, due to their value and the magical qualities they possess.

For the expedition to Kolchis, the Amazons were joined by the heroine of Mount Ida Áxena and the Cimmerian hero Fionn. The first, on a war chariot pulled by two Centauresses, accompanied by a unit of Centaurs under the orders of a Centaur Battle Leader; the second, on smilodon, accompanied by a Unit of Cimmerian Warriors on smilodon and a Unit of Cimmerian Warriors on chariots pulled by the same creatures, under the command of a Cimmerian Battle Leader also on smilodon. With the Amazons there were a Giantess and a Half Giantess.

The raiders failed to reach their target, because they were intercepted by a Kolchian army with which there were: Cerberus, Medusa with a large Undead Warrior Unit, Kallista, Arachne and his brother Falance with a Unit of Araknotaures and one of 4 Great Araknotaurs, as well as a Hydra, a Unit of Great Snakes, a Unit of Minotaurs with a Half Giant Minotaur and also Pandora.

The Amazons have won the Scouting test. The battle began at the second hour of the day. In the first half of the game turns the Amazons managed to eliminate almost all the enemy giant creatures, then the situation balanced out, but Áxena and Fionn took action and made a difference. Three Fiends were also involved in the dispute: one summoned by the Kolchian Mages and two, alternating, by the Amazon Witches.

Both sides have lost all Priests and Clerics who sacrificed themselves in making countless "invocations to the Gods" to save the lives of their Individuals and Giant Creatures. The Priestesses of the Amazons have also managed to extend the life of several of their Saber-toothed Tiger Warriors and even some Cimmerians.

At the start of the last turn, as the battle was lost, the Kolchian Warchief ordered Pandora to open her evil box. However, what was left of the Amazon army, invested by the curse spell, suffered few losses, the only significant one was that of the last Priestes who had survived.
