We played with armies of 4000 points and 1500 points of magic (Ars Arcana) each.
The armies were represented respectively by 125 miniatures of the Barbarian Army and 129 miniatures of the Red Templars & Men at Arms Army, for a total of 254 miniatures.
You can see in the following pages the complete lists of the miniatures of the two Armies employed in the battle:
TEMPLARS & MEN-at-ARMS
Outcome of the clash in terms of points::
The battle ended with a "MASSACRE" in favor of the BARBARIANS:
the Red Templars & Imperial Men-at-Arms suffered 3835 points of losses(Sergio);
the Cimmerians and Barbarians suffered 1750 points of losses(Sandro), with a difference of 2085 points in their favor !
The scenario involved the incursion of an army of Red Templars & Men of Arms of the Argos Empire into the lands of the Barbarians. The objective of the mission was the conquest of new lands to be incorporated into the fiefs of the Order and subdue the tribes of Barbarians who lived there, converting the members of these tribes to the faith of the god Mithra, if necessary by force. For this expedition to the army, composed of a strong contingent of Heavy and Extra-heavy Cavalry, a Hero Paladin on Giant Griffin and two Medium Dragons were aggregated.
To the great surprise and disappointment of the Grand Master who commanded the Templar army, the Giant Mammouth and the Giant Rhinoceros deployed by the Barbarians easily got the upper hand over the two Dragons, despite the help given to them by the Hero Paladin on Giant Griffin. The first Dragon was killed in the 2nd turn of the game, the second in the 4th.
Left without their two Giant Creatures on which they counted to be right of the Barbarians, the Templars and Imperials were forced to defend themselves in conditions of extreme inferiority. It can be said that "there was no more history" !
In the 11th Round the Paladin with his Giant Griffin also fell heroically, who had already suffered injuries fighting against the Giant Mammouth and was also hired by the Cimmerian Hero on smilodon. Again wounded, the four Priests' attempt to invoke the favor of the God Mithra has failed miserably. The appeal was not accepted by the Divinity.
The army of the Templars and Imperial Men at Arms has been annihilated. At the end of the regular last (12th) Turn, only survived:
Another epic battle of Naran Fantasy Wars!
